There was a few discussions and suggestions a while back about improving the battlefields so people know if a vote has been accepted or rejected.

Based a suggestion by Cuba, I expanded the idea out into a settings panel for the moderators, allowing them to essentially tick a box to Approve or Reject the votes. But I went a little further and allowed for the votes to be rated good, bad and excellent.

The way it will work is, the moderators select a rating for the vote, which are listed below. This rating will only be visible to the post author and the moderators, everyone else will simply see if it was accepted or disallowed. This will allow people to learn they need to improve their votes without publicly shaming them.

There will be training for the moderators soon to help give a good consistency of voting statuses from the team. You likely won't see any statuses appearing until this has been done.

The current vote statues are as follows:
Disallowed
The vote as been disallowed by a moderator, reason likely provided in a follow up post.

Bad
The vote has been accepted, but only just, the voter will need to improve their future votes.

Good
This will ideally be the status for most votes.

Excellent
For truly exceptional votes which go above and beyond both what is asked as well as expected.

The following battle has been rated to show as an example of the new statuses:

As well as battle votes, I have also put in place the ability for Open Mic / Audio Mic feedback to be rated in a similar way, but without the disallowed status. I am not sure if these will be used or not yet, but either way, this statuses will only appear for both moderators and the author of the post, they will not be viewable to anybody else.

This is a good idea. I like it. Even though I can't vote yet, it sounds good.

Awesome stuff man, now you can rely on mods to tell if your vote was good or not !!

But I think excellent category should be visible to all to learn something from !!

Alot of people don't go back to the battle after they've voted, how will they know what the status of their vote is if they aren't personally alerted?

There's always going to be a bit of lee-way with new members who don't know the ropes, however..

I think the majority of people know whether or not their votes are good quality/honest/fair, they choose to vote the way they do for their own reasons and I believe that publicly shaming them for it makes more sense then babying such disrespectful behaviour.
