Not a bad idea.

Scarface was kool but I heard it was so good before watching it that it didn't live up to its own hype.

Entourage - Entertaing in a silly way, a timely ender to the series. Dice roll 3\6.

Straight Outta Compton - Great move, terrible biopic. 4\6.

Age of Ultron - A true popcorn flick, nice effects, unoriginal plot. 4\6.

Mad Max Fury Road - Surprised me, dope scenery, decent story, flaming guitar guy.  5\6.

That VFX tho, it was pretty simplistic kind of story I mean not something I would want to see in a movie featuring aliens and stuff ! Bringing back that VFX is really a turn off considering other movies released lately..
But yeah opinions may differ....

Call me crazy, but I think effects hurt the scifi genre entirely. Writers rely on their effects as opposed to coming up with good dialogue.... Or I'm just a hipster.... Probably the latter.

I think the last film I saw was Skyfall, after going through my Bond boxset.

Quite a while back I couldnt figure out what it was about the bond films that set it apart from others, it took me a while to realise it was partly based on they're use of scale models instead of CGI, even though you can clearly see it's a model, it really adds to the film when you know it's real - regardless of size.

Plus films like Bourne films suck due to to much explosions and fights and not enough story and humour.

http://https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q1dYty7CyuQ" rel="nofollow - Vice documentary on Ali Bouala  - 5\6. A must see for both active and former skateboarders. Pretty good story for anyone else too.

And rewatched some older movies:

Goodfellas - 4\6 - Pesci IS a gangster.
Donnie Brasco - 4\6 - A good movie but lack that classic feel.
Transformers  The Movie - 4\6. It's funny how an animated cartoon from the middle of the eightees destroys the moderns TF movies when it comes to emotional display and characters. The first 40 min is pretty good, the last part not so much. Still heaps above any Michael Bay version.

The revenent- dope backdrop to this, fairly predictable ending but well worth the watch.
Hateful 8- I enjoyed this, ticked along nicely not his best but I thought it was pretty solid
Legend- expected more but still decent, thought the love story took up too much of the film, Ron was what saved this movie for me. Very entertaining character.

^ fuck! I forgot how insanely ill that movie was. The actors, the "set", the cinematography, the action, the plot, just everything. Almost makes you want to go back in time and be a tribal warrior. But, then you start thinking about gettin ya head cut off by a half sharpen stone or smashed in the face with a jagged rock...and uh...2016 seems kinda nice.

swiss army man - didn't expect much but really enjoyed it, dark/clever/ridiculous.. great score to it as well.
state of jones - I thought it was good though it dropped off in places. Expected more but worth the watch.
suicide squad - i liked elements of it but the main story being around that carla devignghfff..was bull crap, the way they previewed it was misleading as fuck.

Jared Leto should have gotten more screen time. His Joker was rad as shit. out of the 150 mins of rushed story i dont see how he couldn't have gotten more than 10-12

if you arent a nitpicky comic nerd like me youll definitely enjoy the movie. i just like to be bitchy about things that i think should be perfect lmao

Who doesn't like Leto's Joker? I feel like people will forever hold future Joker actors up to Ledger's standard and I think that's completely unfair. Leto did exactly what Heath did in bringing a completely new joker to the table. In the way that Ledger brought an average insane man covered in clown make up, Leto gave us a tattoo covered crime lord. it was fucking cool.

I will be extremely disappointed if Leto isn't in The Batman. Leto's Joker with Affleck's Batman (my favorite live action portrayal of the hero, btw) will be fucking nuts. But, Leto isn't exactly on smooth sailings with Warner Bros. because of how he's addressed his screen time in the SS film. That really sucks.

P.S. If you want a bangin' Poison Ivy, just go watch Batman & Robin! (jokes)

I just ordered Blair Witch I thought the first one was crazy so I figured I'd give this one a shot. The seconed one sucked lmao the book of shadows or what ever it was called but this looks more like the first one. I'll let ya know if it was any good lol.

Posted By: HI-Z
Date Posted: 05 January 2017 at 10:08am
It might require a seconed viewing, the last 10mins was by far the best when it first got started I was concerned about the size of the cast. I thought it might take away from the original intimacy from the first film. But they quickly cast aside the none essential players. In true horror fashion you can guess who the first one to die is...sorry homie lol. It was pretty similar to the first one but so is every single Halloween and nightmare on elm street movie lol. There's only so many ways you can kill some one with a matchet before it gets repetitive. We finally get to see the witch though. But I wouldn't drop 20$ on a hard copy unless your a huge fan of the first one. catch ya later

And for the horror buffs out there I know Jason was the one with a matchet not Michael Myers lol.
