The 2020 Tournament Semi-final: Text (standard rules) spume corrupt vs AshleyKaos Verses are to be 8 bars or 16 lines in length. Battlers have 14 days from now to write their bars. If there are no decisive votes on the battle after 7 days once the verse is posted, then I will vote in an unbiased manner and decide on the winner to continue to the next round. If a battler ducks, due to timeframes being accurately adhered to, if it quacks like a duck and walks like a duck, I'll be calling it a duck. If you don't both check in then your battle will be discontinued and parties that check-in will progress to successive rounds but parties that fail to check-in will be disqualified. Battlers must check-in to the battle in order to proceed. GO

AK// Opener was solid, a mouthful but solid. LI wordplay, and the spine play was clean. The mo Ali play was forced and a miss for me. Again wasn’t feeling the terrorist play. The Identity set up was nice but the punchline fell flat. Big game bar was amateur. Nuff said. Krew bar was a light dig. You’ve basically just said his crew can’t rap and he’s the best of the Wack. Nothing hard hitting. I liked the structure and flow in the cherry popped bar but again nothing serious here. Closer was solid, set up was a tad stretched but the punch was quality and clever. Overall// Your opener and closer was good but everything in between was not. A shame because I think if all your bars were thought out as well as them two then there was real promise. SC// The multie flowed well and the aggression was there but felt a little generic. Second bar was dope and the Olsen punchline was nice. The set up of your third bar seemed a bit redundant but the play for the punchline was solid. Fourth bar was wack. Fifth was average but I enjoyed the flow of it. Sixth bar was poor again and what punch was there just didn’t read right. Seventh was better, set up nicely for the punch. Closer was mehh.. Overall// Started of nicely but fell a million miles off after till the seventh bar. Vote - Spume. Very inconsistent drops from both but I felt Spume had the better bars that hit. |

Aiit I gotsta get a vote in on this one and on the Con/levy battle so we can hit up this final before the end of the world and there's not many other votes up in here but props to Mitch for his. Ash, compared to your first two battles in the tourney, I reckon I read this one like it was written by someone shook versing an opponent that you were rattled about or like your verse is in a completely different style like you wasn't really in on this verse like you was in the battle against me. I real didn't like where you rhymed 'you can flow' with 'penal codes', that with no inner was real underwhelming to read as a bar, then you rhymed 'all knew that' with 'king of whack' and that was real lame. All up like while you were a bit racy with a few pretty personal concepts, it wasn't very direct or aggressive to read as a battle verse. I wanted more inner rhymes in there and more concepts and metaphors and similes, like writing techniques incorporated at a semi-final. Maybs u had to rush this verse out or something but it wasn't your best. spume your verse was calculated at worst and raw fire at best, from backslash to the Olsens, the Talibans AK, bird is a moose, give you a wash were all noteworthy bars and stylistically your block, longstyle verse which was altogether pretty well shaped was way out of AK's league. Way more direct, personal and aggressive for me this was a pretty one-sided battle with MVGT spume corrupt |
