Sup LA,
I've rapped with an american accent for a long time for no real reason I have heaps of other accents but two that I use daily, one is a maori accent which is fresh and representative of the original inhabitants of NZ like the aborigines are in Australia however maori are seen statistically as the urban and 'poor' class of NZ, maori is another language I can have conversations in and the slang sounds reminiscient of some films like once were warriors There's also a british influenced british/NZ language which is more formal and popular among the middle and upper class in NZ though the upper class often take the mick out of the maori and the maori languages informalities as it's pronounced more proper like how now brown cow in enunciation than the maori language and cos the british signed a treaty with the maori to reign sovereign over NZ The first accent I use when I'm with the bros making beats and beers and the second if I'm in the office having conversations. What accent do y'all reckon you'd prefer to hear in audio tracks?

The first one, definitely. Your professional "work voice" is connected to your professional "work life." If the Maori voice is the voice with your boys and when you're chillin, that's your rap voice. Also, don't forget about your Moari slang, sure it might not be have much meaning to us here at first, but after the first expo we'll get it and a place's slang is linked to it's people. Using your own slang to me is a very very good way of connecting with your audience. In the same mentality there's a lot of Jamaican slang used within my "hiphop circle of friends" as a lot of them are of Jamaican descent, when we kick frees, that slang always creeps in. Your Moari voice and maori slang will give you an authenticity to the people "like you" and that can only be a good thing.
