Ice- opener was not that great.. name play was lame.. 2nd bar.. didn't rhyme and it threw off your flow completly.. "fucks~lead"/"struc~tured.." doesn't come off on syllables either.. 3rd bar again a weak name play but a better concept.. liked that idea but it needs rephrasing.. 4th bar was ok.. the "US" "U.S." I got it.. but I do remember Ikon using that play in an audio verse against Mackie back in the day so no originality there.. and again could have came off stronger if rephrased.. 5th was decent.. pretty good hit.. good personal.. 6th bar again decent.. good personal.. Closer was ok.. not a real finishing blow.. more like an attempted push over.. Rameez - Link .. im guessing that's what you are refering your opener too.. and with that said.. I liked it.. that was a very nice opener.. and so so personal.. props.. and yes I did have to dig around to see for myself.. 2nd bar.. ok.. you pretty much fucked up.. I didn't know where you were going with that.. unless you were refering to IceC as the "other" guy named Ice but he's now Cuba so I don't see the relevance.. anyways.. 3rd bar was kinda wack.. 4th bar was pretty cool.. nice personal.. used it pretty well.. rephrasing it could have made it better.. 5th bar was kinda choppy.. nice concept.. shit was actually pretty funny.. just gotta watch how you phrase it because it came off kinda weird.. 6th bar was nice.. I liked the play.. don't think i've seen that before either.. closer was funny as fuck! that shit had me going.. hahahahaha..
So overall this was a pretty tough vote.. you both had your up's and downs.. wasn't feeling the flow of either of you to be honest but in reality it seemed Ice had the better flow of things being a little bit more experienced BUT at the same time I felt Rameez had stronger personal hits which gave him the bit of the upper hand on this one.. I think Ice took Rameez for a joke and didn't come strong enough as he knows he could have.. and suprisingly Rameez came out with some pretty good shit..

 Vote = IceZ IceZ...First punch was coolio, second was weak...rhyme was weak & he dropped a structured verse, was ok at face value but defeated itself really...RAM/geek was quite predictable but hit decent...US/Canada is a simple punch but extra credit since he Canadian, was a decent shot...picked on line could have been better but was decent diss again, liked how you took it into the next filler, could have been more elaborate but you went with the rhyme scheme combo as well...personally would have sacrificed the rhyme for a harder diss...next punch was good personal, only thing for me is you have to see the link before you can laugh...so its like a delayed reaction, but obviously you know he gonna be saying something stupid so still works....closer was nice personal diss & metaphor combo... Ram...I think you attempted some good disses & I don't know why you getting criticised for using my old name when people get credit for doing nameplays on shit that aint even my name  ...divide/ice isn't really a rhyme though, half-rhyme...opener was coolio attempt but could have been worded better...profile information was a decent diss but bit of a simple piece of info to use against him...I guess the Firefox punch is coz he fucked his shit up when he posted? But so did you so that kinda weakened it...again next lines could have been worded better, dissin on his top 10 status was a good idea but coulda been more clear...personal was a good idea but its kinda clear that he was taking the piss out of you and wasn't a serious vote...canadian was ok, bit of a random country diss...not as good as his...ice cleared from the street was a nice line...closer was a nice punchI thought it was a close battle...anyone that dismisses Ram's verse is doing so on basis of reputation, I thought he had some good punches as well as good ideas but they didn't translate enough into solid hits to get the win in the battle...if you had run your lines past Senor or someone like that you probably would have won Ram because you lost points for me due to your sloppy wording (some lines were borderline coherent) & not being direct enough with a good idea...IceZ was a lot more polished and got off consistent hits without doing anything amazing, maybe he took it easy...but Ram lost it rather than IceZ winning it

If they were winning every battle then maybe IceZ might say something but not to this extent...was just saying, the swaying is ridic, doesn't influence my vote...I gave Ram his due but voted the way I thought the battle went

IceZ - Not a bad verse. Not a great verse. Had some pretty decent punches in there. The RAM / Computer line was pretty hot. Verse flowed well, had some missed shots there, but over all, it was a pretty good verse.
Ram - I just didn't like your verse dude. the last couple of bars had decent punches in, but everything preceding that was just awful. Some bars didn't even rhyme, the punches were wayward and it didn't flow well at all. IceZ GMV. |

I'm going to agree with Nep.
My vote goes to IceZ, but to be honest this was a weak battle on both fronts. Rameez had some pretty good ideas but again, those punches had no chance of landing properly like Flight 3407. On the other hand, IceZ had some stupid lines too. His best line was the Ram/PC line...and I saw that coming as I read the thread title. His verse was a little more coherent in the sense that I didn't really get 'lost' in it. It was simple, to the point...and while a lot of the lines were weak...it was enough. Rameez, you gotta polish your verse up prior to a battle. I know you said you were losing interest in battling...but it wouldn't kill you to proof read your verse before you post it. Maybe send it to a fellow emcee friend to give you some feedback. Overall, I think it would've done a huge difference. Vote - Icez. |

Thought this was a nice battle, Ram came harder than i think most people thought he would, and Ice sounded a bit pissed in his verse, like he didn't really want to be there.
But anyway, Ice your verse was good, like i said you didn't sound happy about it, but that probably added to your kind of "swagger" in your lines. Some of it was a bit weak though, like a couple of bits didn't really flow or rhyme, but i guess the same could be said about Rams verse. For me, the nicest line you came with was the "getting picked on" line, that made me laugh out loud, some funny shit. As for Ram, think Cuba was right, if you would've got a bit of help with the wording, i think you might've squeezed a win here, but props for obviously having enough individuality for just putting out your shit. One thing that made me really consider my vote, was one line you said. The flip on the American/Canadian/Australian music dig was class, really loved that one, and i was almost tempted to vote for you purely because of how bad you owned on that line, but in the end, structure and flow prevailed after it being tight in skill and punches. Close shit, and Props Ram, nearly got my vote, but you just got pipped by Ice for me. Vote-Ice |
