News & Announcements: New Mobile Friendly Site

So you are on a phone or tablet, you will notice the site looks different, I've been working on improving the site for mobile devices (smart phones and tablets) for a bit and finally released it for testing.

The forum is more trimmed down with less bells and whistles, this is part of the forum software so I won't be adding any extras to it.

Else where the navigation has been changed, for phones there is a button you can press to display it. For tablets it is permanently attached to the left hand side. Mobiles also get a shortcut to PMs via the right hand side of the navigation bar.


If you have a phone or tablet, give it a try and let me know what you think. If you face any problems you can revert to the Desktop version by the link at the bottom of the page titled "Classic".

And please let me know of any problems or issues you face with it.

Also, I'd like to add that I think it's cool the way you don't have to read tiny writing or zoom in to see the post, then ave to scroll left n right to fully see what's there. However - the only flaw I can see that has, is that now, each line from a verse is gonna be spread over a few lines and fuck up the structure - in the way that it's read. That's the only negative about that aspect of the change.

Since i entered this site, I've been using it from my phone only...
Idk if it is a glitch or something, but there r issues with the menu button, once u open it and try to scroll down, it's gone...hence i can't access the general discussion and other of those pages ...it feels a bit awkward too, but i guess i would get accustomed to the new layout...

The point of the mobile version is simply that mobile phones have smaller screens, which means you can't fit everything on it. So extra fluff needs removing (eg who gives a fuck about the mini profile on posts its wasted space on a phone).

This really a work in progress so feedback from people who use the site on mobile would be very valuable in improving it.


Manc, what do you mean by "interface when you log on"?


Nigma, at present the Menu just mimics the desktop version, but I could look at rearranging it for mobiles. Battlefield short-cuts are under "Battles" though.


People with the "menu disappears on scroll" - What phones are you using? Because I tested this on my Galaxy S2 and cannot recreate this issue on the default browser or FireFox. As for iPhone, I can't test that as I don't have access to one, besides the browser shouldn't be much different to Android default anyway.
