With the departure of SwordedStylez from the mod team and Law busy with his studies, the key people who would be handling the daily running of LA are effectively gone. This means that it falls back to me. I do not have the time I did in the past to manage LA, I have no interest dealing with your pathetic bullshit.


So that effectively means LA is dead. The so called "community" doesn't really exist and is full of whiney ungrateful self entitled arseholes. And I have no interest using my own cash to fund LA's (relatively small) costs. Before you jump up and down, no I have zero interest in selling LA.


I will be giving the "community" until the end of the year to clean up their act and start putting in the work needed to make the site viable and of interest for me to keep funding for another 13 years. I am not talking about mods, frankly most of you do not deserve or cannot be trusted to go anywhere near the modspot. I am talking about the very VERY basic tasks such as voting on battles, dropping QUAILTY feed on open mics etc.

It is no secret that I see the LA communtiy as a bunch of lazy fucktards who do nothing but bitch an whine. So you have 6 months to prove to me that it isn't true. Prove to me that LA is worth keeping open. Don't post bullshit and meaningless comments in here about how LA is worth it or I owe you anything, I don't. Prove it by actually making LA viable, make LA a place people actually want to be on, rather than the rotting cesspit it has become.

"boost activity" is the worse phrase you could possibly of picked. It gets used as the default excuse for every terrible idea anyone ever has. After 13 yrs my auto-response to that phrase is instant dismissal.

Let me re phrase that then. Do you have in mind a group of people you trust at all? If so would you be open those people trying to take a little bit control in trying get the ball rolling in the right direction? I.e putting in some of the legwork on the ground, and trying to get the best out of people for the site. Basically try and carry on what ss was trying to do. I think there are people who still have faith in the community and honestly believe while it'll never hit the heights of the glory days. We can make a significant improvements.

Amen SS. No Shows are my single biggest pet peeve. Don't agree to something that you aren't going to do.

I'm not surprised by this thread tbh. I haven't been on the site very long at all in terms of how long it's been around. And even since I started, the fun aspect of the site seems to have withered substantially. And that is down to the community, as a member of the community I guess that includes me. I'm not going to say "oh my bad, I'll change" because I'm not that guy.

It would suck to see Lyrical Assault go down. But if it's providing nobody with any enjoyment at all, then it does become (sorry) a waste of time.

How much have you spent on LA over the past 12-13 years? (If you don't mind me asking that is) not that it's anything to do with the money mind you. What has stopped you taking it down so far? Why would you not sell it? (Ignore this if you're repeating yourself). Does LA provide you with any enjoyment at the current time?

Don't have to answer, I'm just curious tbh.

it's a little sad to see that it has came to this. I am by no means a productive member on LA. Its pastime for me tbh. I sit at a desk all day and get enjoyment out of writing and listening to the Audios. I've made some E-friends on here and that's a fact. I see the problem with the malicious users. I was one of them and for that I am sorry. I also wouldnt  call most of LA a community. It's more of a segregated group of personalties. Right now the main personality is the childish, selfish cats that wants everything spoon fed. 

I think the issue is a lack of identity. You type in "online rap battle" and the third result is LA. Yet the description that you wrote for it is that we're a "rap community". In that sense, I don't think LA is dead. It might be a lot quieter in comparison to earlier years (I wouldn't know) but whenever I come on there's post in a discussion thread or an open mic thread.

You want me to give a bit more control of the site to the community, the same community that cannot be bothered to vote on battles, can't be bothered to drop feed on open mics or be bothered to even show up for tournaments? Are you on crack?



I suggest everyone stops posting trash and actually take the time to read my first post, properly. If you can't even be bothered to do THAT then I might as well close the site now.


I have given YOU 6 months to prove to me LA is worth keeping up and instead of showing me,you are posting worthless messages about how you will change or how you can help or other pointless posts. Stop fucking about in here and start building a viable community, otherwise LA won't believe here next year.
