Monthly Awards: KOTM May & June

THE BACKSTORY

S.W.O.R.D. is a secret order of warriors whom are dedicated to the elimination of evil and tyrannical organizations worldwide. Throughout countless centuries this order has operated in the shadows as a hidden hand behind some of history's most infamous assassinations and "military" coups! However, due to the clandestine nature of the group there are only a handful of individuals on the planet that even know of their existence. Although, within the top ranks of some intelligence organizations rumors circulate but, are never substantiated by tangible evidence. However, there are many myths and legends involving this group of elite warriors and every so often a curious mind will piece the puzzle together and discover their hidden location. When this occurs the warrior must prove their worthiness to join the order by completing a near impossible task -- succeed and gain admission -- fail and face a swift death by execution or suicide.

Over many millennia S.W.O.R.D. members have consisted of the very best warriors known to man. In ancient times ninjas, samurai, Zulus, Vikings, and Spartans filled the ranks. However, the order of today mostly consist of ex-special forces, steath assassians, triple agents, and weapon specialists trained in advanced hand-to-hand combat.

YOUR MISSION: INITIATION

Prove your worthiness to S.W.O.R.D. by assassinating or engineering the downfall of a notorious dictator or warlord without capture or loose ends.

SPECIFICS

• Time period is unrestricted. For example, your story could be set during the Crusades or modern-day Syria. Be creative.
• Warrior type & time period is unrestricted. For example, your character could be an Apache Knife Fighter or a Rambo style commando. Be imaginative.
• Target type & time period is unrestricted. For example, it could be Genghis Khan or Al Capon, Kim Jong-un or even a fictitious villain. Be interesting.
• The outcome is up to you to decide -- succeed, fail, or go on the run! Your fate is in your own hands! Be entertaining.

RULES

1. 30 line maximum.
2. The title of your topic must read [KOTM] insert whatever [KOTM].
3. Reference(s) to S.W.O.R.D. must be made in verse.
4. Contestants may upload their own pictures (IMG is optional).
5. All entries must be submitted by June 8th.
