Elevation Centre: Audio heads, read this

The objective shouldn't be to remove the elements you are critiqued for, but to make those elements your own to the point they become your strengths.

There are criticisms that require changes, but I feel this is one that will correct itself with time in.

Use that to help you find your style. Voices fit better into certain styles than others. I would not try to sound like other ppl as rap daemon mentioned. I'd advise against that. Find your own sound that fits your voice.

I feel you flame that is one strong accent. Maybe do something with a country sample, or go completely the opposite direction and work on your English accent. Drop some grime.

Honestly, you should embrace your accent and just try to say words as clear as possible for others to understand.

Write a small verse. Practice that verse constantly. Say it over and over till you're so comfortable spitting it it just rolls off your tongue. Tweek it, say it with full aggression, or less, change your tone, switch up the dialect and speed, work with your accent, but use the same verse. Spit it out loud to yourself till your not tripping over the words or second guessing yourself. The more you get familiar and confident, in your words the more your aggression or presence should surface on their own... Record and critique it, and do it all over again. Let it set the standard for future verses. Just practice until it becomes second nature.

Here's an idea, write the verse, record it and post it. I'll give it feedback, spit that shit morning noon and night. (change what YOU don't like) then post the same verse about 2 weeks from then and I'll feed it again. see if you've developed..... if no improvement, try a different angle. Just an idea. Could be interesting.
