   Greetings my fellow Lyrical Assault famailia. It seems weve started the rumblings of the first round and its a fucking heater!!! 

I got to be honest, iLLs first matchup feels less like a roll of the dice and more like a calculated matchmaker pairing up ideal battles. if this first round is ANY indication of what you supreme beings can be blessed with, then rejoice like no other. Let me give a brief run down: 

  Ridley Squat vs Smoothtung in a multi battle. this not only shakes up how the "format starts" (as its #2 vs #7) it also helps steer away from struggle-fests as this is both contestants strong suit. right out the gate.. or "off the hopper" as a good friend of mine says.. we get two favorites head up. best part? its open ended.. meaning no limitations…bring your raw shit or go the fuck home. no excuses, nobody to blame but yourself.. just you and your motherfucking bars. Bars Above Everything. 

  I had an "audio mag" written, recorded via phone as time didnt permit me an actual recording.. but alot has changed since I jotted those bars. I will re-hash in written form.. not so much the four bar breakdown I gave each contestant. 

  I did however open with:

but let me proceeeed..breaking down this panel

turns out Beans has been selected to enter the arena. he's been a little hit or miss lately, and hasnt ever been the punctual type.. but perhaps this will be his crowning achievement. I wouldnt necessarily call him an underdog, but certaintly not the favorite either. if he comes out with the victory.. I think itll be impossible to question his pen..

Dizz - what can I say about Dizz lol…better yet...what can ya'll?? as much ammo is available on Dizz, its nothing that'll shock and awe. I think the variety will help keep content fresh in his battles.. but wether you tolerate em, hate em or thank em.. he can be quite crafty. I think hes gonna need to focus on content and less on "cool points" with the technical shit. hes a live dog tho. 

Rap Daemon - I honestly think if this man took a theme and stuck to it, he could give pretty much anyone a real run for their money in a wordplay battle. I think sometimes he puts TOO much into a bar...but when he layers it nice.. it comes out spot on. I just dont know how he'll do in some of the other fields.. his compliment battle vs Dizz.. was.. interesting.  anything is possible..dont write em off. 

Smoothtung - seems life is whooping his ass and hes seeking a positive outlet. that is very commendable, as destructive will always be the easier route. if this man is stuck in his head..who knows what can come out. I dont know why he bit..nor do I necessarily care.. but it definitely tarnishes what might be real gems. I wasnt put on earth to judge another man as we've all done stupid shit atleast once. with that being said..more than redemption or some sort of validation.. I hope this brings some joy to his life. a contender for sure. 

Dj Flame - his name sums it up.. audio and text..he cooking outta both pots. he seems to have found a love for beat making recently, I just hope he can spare some time to focus on some of the animals in this enviroment. never one to steer clear of sharing an unpopular opinion.. that type of attitude will do him wonders in a contest like this. not only does he likely not fear a single one… he probably has zero respect for the majority. could be a pro..could be a con..we'll see in due time. 

Ridley Squat - hes a funny little motherfucker. hes also the first ever Battle Royale winner.. only other guy to win? Mr Battle Bars himself: LAW. he definitely has experience in this sort of enviroment. his topical game cant be knocked either.. as he was a finalist in IC2. I think accomplishment wise.. youd be hard pressed to find someone more suited for this. all bullshit aside, hes a really strong contender to win this. do not sleep. 

Rhetorical - hes another all around guy.. audio..text.. topical.. lawn care.. inmate policing.. he does a bit of everything. a jack of all trades.. maybe a master of some. I know he like Smooth and Ridley can absolutely obsess over a "multi"… hes also thrown some battle bars down..while he admits its not his strongest suit.. I think in competition.. he really steps it up a notch. hes been a strong fixture in WWC.. so I dont think he'll have alot of trouble with the wheel of fortune of death. definitely the cat who will under no circumstance half step. iLLs favorite and my personal dark horse. 

Hyperactive - I truly feel this is some clown ass alias.. the manner in which he/she completely switched their style to a "recognizable" one.. was a dead giveaway to me that something aint right. I have a ton of styles… I can do a million more.. much like most people who can do different techniques.. at the end of the day.. it still "reads like us".. switching styles is one thing…reading entirely different is something else. revisit IC2.. match up the member with their verse and tell me now that you know..it doesnt read like them. habits and tendancies are hard to break. anywhom… in my audio breakdown..I said goodluck with the cover up cause somebody gonna bury ya. 

thats all I got friends. I am really looking forward to seeing how this plays out. lots of interesting matchups.. and as my good homie Doom lets to reverbate.. STYLES MAKE FIGHTS.. and we got some styles in this!! best of luck yall.
