Let me be the first to apologize if there's another thread out there about this:
But, is there a specific thread of links to or names of battles that need votes? It's really a pain having to cycle through the battle threads who already have sufficient votes to be closed - or - appear to need votes based on the thread's # of posts when the MCs haven't even dropped yet.
Any insight would greatly be appreciated.

I try to rate each battle to let others know both battlers have dropped their verse so those with the stars near the titles are ready for votes. I don't think anyone else really does it though so some might be missing ratings. Plus, there's no way to know beforehand if the voting is not already over...But, at least the ratings tell you that both have dropped verses and if you vote on a battle try to rate it to let others know as well.

True... I'll start doing that as well to help it look more noticeable. It would still probably be an awesome idea to have a "Battles That's Ready for Votes" thread. What you think? |

It's been mentioned before, but you don't want to make more work for the mods. If we had lots of mods and a huge community then it'd be a cool idea, I think. But like this, someone has to move it to that "battles that's ready for votes" thread so it wouldn't really be feasible. Checking battles to see if they need to be closed takes long enough for the mods we do have. They usually close battles in large batches as opposed to constant closing every day.

UNLM, I think he meant a thread like "Battles That Need Closing" rather than a different forum.
However, we used to have a thread years ago, but it doesn't really work, as it'll be come expired pretty quickly. And there ends up being battles that have finished merged in a thread of battles needing votes, basically the same as the battlefield is now. Or the mods have to keep going in and deleting posts of battles that have finished. But they would be better of using that time to actually close the battles, creating he same effect in the Battlefields. Long story short, it doesn't work. |
