NEW CHAMP Woods capped an interesting journey by beating DTK 7-3 in the main event. This is the second time he's won the title - which makes him the only two-time champ in LA history, other than some guy who won it three times a while back... Interestingly, the last time Woods won it was almost five years ago exactly...and he beat DTK to get it. Woods got there by winning the Battle Royale, the first of its kind, by coming in at the favourable #10 spot and beating UNLM, who had unexpectedly overthrown The Guy, who had been the form battler of the Royale, knocking out favourite The Law and highest ranked Kiki. Woods got that ten spot by winning the four-way - just edging past Lucky. But it has to be said that this was the best battle of the whole card and all four deserve their credit for bringing quality verses with no fuss. The topicals were all classics and it ended with the fourth surprise entrant, Freeda, winning out in a landslide. So he'll face Manc for the title in due course. We had another first - a Blind battle, in which Ikon made a brief comeback and overcame Jay Hom. Yet another first was an Elimination match, albeit severely handicapped by no-shows. We also had the official LA X interview with Scotty and Hanging, and the LA X collab featuring assorted vets. There had been two more firsts planned - a 12rd live battle planned between Cuba and Point Blank and a grudge match between Manc and Trizzy but both were foiled by no-shows by the latter two. Trizzy, when he gets back, owes Manc a 16 of big-upz . . . The full results and links to the whole lot are below. Thanks to all the battlers, writers and voters...you did good. Scotty/Hanging - if someone could close up and archive everything in terms of battle scores that would be great. Maybe all the LA X threads could be archived in one forum as well, I dunno, I'll leave that to you. That's 10 years of LA over and done with. Now what? Props to all of the battlers / voters and a special Pat for DTK. Woods, you did a great job bro, you deserved it. Im glad for being a part of this memorable event though just bit pissed off for being in the worst part of orions post. LA completed its 10 years and its ready to rip another 10.. Well done yall |

Thanks everyone! This make it seem like I was the standout, but I was only a small part. O ran things like a train terminal. Everything was done correctly, on time, creative and unique battles, perfectly executed, only for things out side his control, like no shows, that threw a few spanners in the works.
Everyone dropped heat, all the topicals were crazy, everyone battled strong and only for pretty lucky voting timing, I mightn't have even got through the 4 way battle, so hats off to all involved. DTK brought a tight verse in the final too, thought the voting would be even closer than it was. Think he's beaten me more times than I've beaten him, so when we battle, it's gonna be a coinflip. Always a top competitor and a class above in sportsmanship as well. |

I've been crazy busy lately. I know I missed some feed and voting towards the backend of this event but I have read everyones battles and OM's. Everyone did a great job to those that showed up.
Orion awesome job setting this event up. You kept it running smoothly and we all appreciate it. This was definitely one of, if not the best event that has been ran, that I have been apart of on any site. Unique setup and original battle types. Really great job O.
