Ha, finally you've done it... what's that 8 years of people complaining about me... I guess they won't have to anymore... mind you they complained when I was active too

And yet they still not happy ^^^ and wanting refinements...you can't win this game... Everybody gonna wanna find a way to make themselves look better

My advice would be that you guys should just battle garbage at a ridiculous frequency if getting up the ranks means that much to you...it's not a new tactic - it already distorts the ranks significantly - but that's the only sure-fire solution

The only complaining I remember about you and the rankings, Orion, was the conspiracy theories when you didn't log in. It got so bad I had to add a message that would display if you wasn't 1st.

It's only in the last few years attitudes seemed to have changed though. As nobody noticed you missing from the #1 spot recently, and only congratulated Manc on becoming 1st.

I agree people wont be happy until their at the top though.

Rankings aint mean much shit. But the positive aspect of this^^^ is, it keeps the battlers active and motivated anyways..

I feel this trial is going rather well. The rankings look better than I expected and seem to reflect the current battlers better.

I will most likely make this change permanent.

What are peoples opinions on the rankings?

and I have a suggestion to make it more accurate if you win against a newbie,groupie take 1 point if you win against a standard member,superior member 2 points if you get KO'ed -2 points normal loss -1 and no show -2 points so they will have to show . what do you think about that ??

If it wasn't obvious, I was seeking opinions from those who saw the rankings before the trial started.

It would be impossible to configure the rankings to take the opponents group into consideration as (1) it does not know who the opponent was (2) If it did, it would not know the group when the battle took place (3) Then again, it does not know when the battle took place. In other words, it would be impossible to implement.

i think this new ranking system is better, it works more simplistic, and it must be easier for the mods.

There is no difference for the mods, it is simply a different way the automated script filters the list

Scotty I just want you to know when say these things I just want to help you and the mods run this site easier so I'm studying some programing stuff in school and I have an Idea why don't you put a timer in the battle field new thread creation that will count down time expired and only one battler post it goes to NML if none post it will be deleted and you can put a condition of the number of characters in the post to recognise it as a verse or a check .

Maybe reading the How to Get Started Guide that is linked from the yellow box at the top of EVERY.SINGLE.PAGE. might be a good start.

Also not posting in random topics that have no real relation to your post, is also a good idea.


For everyone else - the Trial is over. It seems to work well so it will be staying permanently.
