Emcee Lounge : Who's interested in audio battling?

Forgive me for sounding a bit cynical, but orchestrating audio battles for other people isn't the same as the community organizing their own audio battles. It seems a little like "False activity" in that theis is being organised for them rather than the people just going ahead and being active on the audio side themselves. I'd be surprised if "organised activity" will justify the audio title being active - seems a little like the activity will vanish again once the battles have stopped being organised for people, leaving us with another paper champion with a plastic title.  Honestly, I'd say encouraging the audio heads to do battles on their own is a better route than organising it for them (which as I say seems like false "activity" just to get the title going)

yeah but again, where's the proof that the community has the desire for audio battling? Like I say, if the community generally feels "why bother" then there's no point in the audio title. As soon as we have a winner these arranged battles will vanish and we have another 9 year champ - belt needs to be competed for and have genuine activity supporting it. This is why I recommended all the audio capable battlers switch to all-audio instead of doing mostly text with a couple of audio battles every few weeks. All this proves is that a couple of people want the belt and are willing to give the forum the appearance of audio activity to get it active. It'd be more "legit" if the community just upped the audio game naturally, rather than forcing the issue with an organised activity that does not reflect the true nature of the community.

Yeah see that's the problem with the community at times, they want things to happen but don't realise that work has to be put in for it to happen. Despite having no interest in battling my self, I LOVE to listen to good audio battles. Unfortunately most of the audio battling on LA is poorly spat acapellas with horrific production.  In the interest of "developing the audio battles" if people want I will happily throw together a whole bunch of "battle beats" (as in more minimalistic with simple music elements) for people to use and even do a "quick guide to simple battle production" as compliment to my audio guide.  For the few audio battles I've had recently I've generally made the beat, wrote, recorded and mixed the track in 30 minutes - that's how simple it is. If people are interested in what I've just suggested - let me know. It won't be in-depth but it should improve the quality of audio battles significantly from a production standpoint - putting it all on the rapper to spit well.
