I have my own idea's as to what to do for each round. Just wanted to hear what you guys had, maybe I'll like something better that someone comes up with.

What I mean by ideas are having theme'd rounds.

Rounds just with picture topical
Rounds just a written topic
A written scenario
Horror based topical Round
History based topical Round
Emotional..

Had an idea for a career round. Give each battler a career mailman, IT, Firefighter, Mcdonalds Employee.. etc and your basically to write a topical/story about the life in this career. 

So now that you got it.. Shoot...

I like the career idea, how about an extension of that and have like historical figures (Queen Mary, Lincoln, Queen Elizabeth Washington etc) I think that would be pretty good as well.

Law this is looking great...good looks for taking the time out.  I like the quote idea from nigma.  Also the career idea is different and sounds pretty dope.  The history concept is cool too just wasnt feeling the historical figures thing.  also the horror topical wouldnt that just be concidered horrorcore?

Wouldn't necessarily be a horrocore, more of a horror based picture topical. I'd find scary/horrific pictures as the topic.

yeah it's not necessarily going to have to be one or the other. It's whatever the writer comes up with on topic.

Lot of good ideas in here, don't like the "emotion" one if it was meant to be about just being 'emotional' as that's a bit airy fairy...on the other hand if it was like an assigned emotion, e.g. Anger, fear, joy, etc. Then that could be quite cool!

Trying (& failing!!) to hold my tongue on picture battles, I think they are garbage as the pictures are often so wacky it makes the verses just so abstract and meaningless...can't remember seeing a picture battle I've enjoyed. But hopefully you will prove me wrong on that one!!

I think you're right to try and mix it up & it'll be good to have themes to the rounds as otherwise it feels a little bit like many topical battles rather than a cohesive tourney. You also don't have the benefit of 'interesting' battles/clashes so the topic will have to draw voters in & the themes are a good way of keeping it interesting.

Not a huge fan of the pic battles either for the same reason Cuba stated. However i like the fresh ideas Law. WELL DONE SO FAR

I'm all for the pic battles.  It's something different and lets the writer think more about a creative story.  It's not so cut and dry so to speak

I'm also a big fan of picture battles. It allows writers to take seperate paths while still staying on topic. This way the voters are reading two differently worded verses. The pics I've seen are pretty delicious so far as well
