what they are is one of the few underground groups who have a recognizable name... ive heard them... they are just ok... so by you mentioning them as "the best rappers" just goes to show me that you want to try and prove that you "KNHOW HIP-HOP" just cuz you can name drop... there are a fuckload of MCs, underground and commercial, who are ten times better than jedi mind tricks... that is why i came at you... because by droppin their name for best rapper, you were tryna show and prove your knowledge of underground music... they may inspire you, you may like them, and thats great... but if you ACTUALLY think they are the best rappers... and deserve to mentioned in the SAME BREATH as Biggie, Pac, Nas, Big-L, Jay-Z, Em, Etc. then you are a fucking idiot with ZERO knowledge or understanding of this music |

how many biggie songs have you heard, what, lemme guess, you heard juicy and big poppa... listen to some of his music, not just the popular songs
thats bullshit, yes he does recycle some biggie lines, some oldschool lines and whatnot... but who doesnt... what do beat makers do, they recycle old music and give it a twist of new style... and add their personal flair to it... listen to old Jay, then you'll understand... basically... the reason im comin at you is because im tired of people actin like they Know what they are talkin about... when they dont.. at least not yet. Pharoe 4 the win... or Slick Rick... best rapper, huh? in what perspective? the best SELLING rapper? the rapper with the biggest fan base? the most renowned rapper? there are too many ways you can judge who the best rapper is, and even then it all comes down to opinion...
if you think rap was meant to have a message and be a way to express what your life is about, Tupac was easily the "best." he was a pioneer, an' everyone loved his songs. but he was not the first... BDK, Rakim, etc. etc... so who's to say that they are not the "best" when they originated what others only came to excell at?
to be honest, LL and Will Smith should be regarded as 2 of the best seein' as they have been around longer than basically anyone, but will anyone on here ever say that they think of either of those 2 as close to the best? no... and neither would i, personally...
this is a stupid conversation that's been had too many times, so I'll leave it at that...
